Grammy Award-winner Patty Griffin just announced a tour of college towns for this winter, and guess who’s on the list of cities on the tour schedule? Rogers, Arkansas.

Just kidding, it’s Fayetteville.

The songwriter, who has released two albums this year, announced that ticket prices on the string of dates will be $20 or less, and the tour will stop at George’s Majestic Lounge for a show on Feb. 7.

Griffin released her seventh studio album American Kid back in May. The record includes 10 original songs, and one track she co-wrote with Robert Plant. NPR music staff voted the record one of the best albums of the year so far.

Last month, she released Silver Bell, a record she originally recorded in 2000 but never released due to an ownership change at her record label. At least a few of the tracks might sound familiar, however. Silver Bell includes two songs Griffin wrote that were recorded by The Dixie Chicks for their 2002 hit album, Home.

Songwriter Anais Mitchell is set to open the show.

Tickets prices haven’t been released (it’s a $20 or less tour, so we know that much), but they go on sale on Friday, Nov. 15 at George’s ticketing site.
