Fayetteville schools closed on Monday, Jan. 6

Snow continued to fall across the Fayetteville area on Sunday as some area schools canceled classes in anticipation of hazardous road conditions.

Schools closed Monday, Jan. 6 include all public schools in Fayetteville, Springdale, Rogers and Bentonville. Classes, offices, and services at the University of Arkansas have also been canceled for Monday.

Monday marks the sixth day Fayetteville Public School students have missed classes this school year. Students missed five days in early December when district officials closed classes after a major snowstorm hit the area. The full make-up day schedule is available below.

– E.O.A Children’s House
– Farmington Public Schools
– Fayetteville Christian Elementary and High School
– Fayetteville Montessori
– Fayetteville Public Schools
– Gravette Public Schools
– Greenland Public Schools
– Lincoln Public Schools
– The New School
– Prairie Grove Public Schools
– The Sunshine School and Development Center
– University of Arkansas

Fayetteville Public Schools make-up day schedule

Regular Calendar Schools

  • Make-up day for Dec. 5, 2013 will be Saturday, Jan. 25
  • Make-up day for Dec. 6 will be Friday, March 14 (previously designated as an inservice day)
  • Make-up day for Dec. 9 will be Saturday, Feb. 8
  • Make-up day for Dec. 10 will be Friday, April 4 (previously designated as a parent-teacher conference day)
  • Make-up day for Dec. 11 will be Saturday, April 12
  • Make-up day for Jan. 6 will be Saturday, May 3
  • If required, a 7th make-up day will be June 2
  • If required, an 8th make-up day will be June 3
  • If required, a 9th make-up day will be June 4
  • If required, a 10th make-up day will be June 5
  • If required, an 11th make-up day will be June 6

Continuous Learning Calendar Schools (Asbell and Happy Hollow)

  • Make-up day for Dec. 5, 2013 will be June 16
  • Make-up day for Dec. 6, 2013 will be Friday, March 14 (previously designated as an inservice day)
  • Make-up day for Dec. 9 will be June 17
  • Make-up day for Dec. 10 will be Friday, April 4 (previously designated a parent-teacher conference day)
  • Make-up day for Dec. 11 will be April 28 (intersession)
  • Make-up day for Jan. 6 will be April 29 (intersession)
  • If required, a 7th make-up day will be August 30 (intersession)
  • If required, an 8th make-up day will be May 1 (intersession)
  • If required, a 9th make-up day will be May 2 (intersession)

  • If additional make-up days are required, the February intersession days will be recaptured in sequential order of Feb. 10 – 14
  • Finally, if additional days are need they will be added to the conclusion of the school year, June 18th, 19th and 20th

Schedule for Saturday make-up days

  • Elementary Schools will begin at 8 a.m. and dismiss at 2:30 p.m.
  • Holt Middle School will begin at 7:40 a.m. and end at 2:15 p.m.
  • McNair Middle School will begin at 7:40 a.m. and conclude at 2:22 p.m.
  • Owl Creek will begin at 7:50 a.m. and conclude at 2:20 p.m.
  • Ramay Junior High will begin at 8:25 a.m. and conclude at 3 p.m.
  • Woodland Junior High will begin at 8:25 a.m. and conclude 3 p.m.
  • Fayetteville High School will begin at 8:20 a.m. and conclude at 3:15 p.m.
  • ALLPS will begin at 8:20 a.m. and conclude at 3:15 p.m.
