Fayetteville man wins $1 million in Arkansas lottery

A Fayetteville man is the latest Arkansas Scholarship Lottery millionaire.

Gary L. Howard, of Fayetteville, purchased the winning ticket in the 2013 Million Dollar Raffle at the Fast Trax #10 convenience store at 248 W. Bowen Blvd. in Goshen, lottery officials announced Monday.

Store owners will receive a $10,000 commission from the sale of the winning ticket.

Howard said he plans to pay for his grandson’s college tuition and put the rest of the prize money into savings.

Tickets for the Million Dollar Raffle cost $10 each, or $20 for three tickets and $30 for six tickets.

Aside from the $1 million jackpot, there were 115 other winning tickets chosen in $100,000, $10,000 and $500
increments. All winning ticket numbers are available at myarkansaslottery.com.
