UPDATED: Fayetteville community garden plots available for registration in 2014

Update: Registration was rescheduled for 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 4 due to a winter weather forecast.

Spring registration for the city’s Community Gardens in the Park program is set for 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 4 at the Fayetteville Senior Activity and Wellness Center, located at 945 S. College Avenue.

Community garden plots range from 30 to 100 square feet, and are available at the Walker Park and Jefferson community gardens.

Annual fees range from $15-40 and include the use of water.

Spring registration is available on a first-come, first served basis on Sunday. Expect light refreshments and opportunities to meet fellow gardeners while learning about community garden volunteer opportunities. Gardeners will receive a welcome packet and garden seeds upon registration.
