Pagiins

Fort Smith band Pagiins is back in town for a show at The Lightbulb Club after making a trip down to Austin for SXSW last week. According to the Facebook event, it looks like the show is a fundraiser for Pagiins’ upcoming tour. Fayetteville band Teenagers (also just back from Austin), and locals Peace of the Sea and Resin Hands are also on the bill.

Speaking of Austin, rockers Not in the Face are also in town from the Texas state capital for a show at Smoke & Barrel Tavern. Admission is $3.

Ales & Tails

In case you haven’t heard, there’s a craft beer and crawfish festival happening at the Fayetteville Town Center on Saturday. Ales & Tails will host their inaugural event beginning at 5 p.m. $25 gets you a pound of crawfish, and all the craft beer you can sample, and for $40 you get all that plus access to a VIP area featuring crawfish dishes by local chefs. If you like jam bands, the place to be this weekend is George’s Majestic Lounge. Terrapin Flyer, a band that began as a Grateful Dead Tribute at a Chicago nightspot but has become a nationally recognized supergroup featuring a constantly evolving lineup of players, will perform at the venue at around 9 p.m. Tickets are $18 at George’s ticketing site.

Sunday events, March 30

Hogeye Marathon

The Hogeye Marathon returns to Fayetteville Sunday morning. The event, which will include runners from all over the country, begins at 7:30 a.m. from the Fayetteville square, and ends on Dickson Street. Several portions of the trail system will be closed on Sunday morning. Here’s more info on that.

Music-wise, local songwriter Candy Lee will celebrate the release of her new album Sunday night at Greenhouse Grille, and locals Cutty Rye will be at Maxine’s Tap Room for their Sunday service.
