Gulley Park summer concerts begin May 29

Ah, springtime. The tulips are blooming, allergic people are sneezing, and the Gulley Park Summer Concert Series lineup is released.

The Fayetteville Parks and Recreation Department recently put the finishing touches on the 2014 schedule, set to kick off on Thursday, May 29 with Harrison, Arkansas-based Americana band, National Park Radio.

Future shows include Fort Worth country artist Waylon Pierce on June 12, local jam-rock band GUTA on June 26, rockers Boom Kinetic on July 10, Denver pop band Sarah and the Meanies on July 24, and Springfield bluesy-bluegrass trio, Ben Miller Band on Aug. 7.

Each concert begins at 7 p.m. at Gulley Park in east Fayetteville. As always, all shows are free and open to the public.
