There’s a Nat King Cole tribute show at Walton Arts Center Friday night. It’s called Straighten Up & Fly Right, featuring Ramsey Lewis and John Pizzarelli. Here’s ticket info.

Comedian Doug Stanhope is in town for a Friday night performance at Mermaids. Tickets are $25, on sale here.

There are a couple options for theatre this weekend. TheatreSquared’s version of Hamlet is playing all weekend at Nadine Baum Studios, and the University Theatre will perform As You Like It.

Music-wise, Little Rock rapper Epiphany will celebrate the release of his new album on Friday night at Smoke & Barrel. J1S will open the show.

Tony Presley’s Real Live Tigers – featuring a new lineup – will be in town for the first time in a while at The Lightbulb Club with locals Peace of the Sea and and Wichita, KS band The Travel Guide.

It’s gonna be a gorgeous night for an outdoor show, and Kingfish has free music with Kat Niles Band.

George’s has a show with local favorites, Mountain Sprout. Tickets are $10.

Saturday events, April 26

Saturdays start at the Fayetteville Farmers’ Market (everyone knows that).

The Razorback football team will play their annual spring Red-White Game at 1 p.m. Saturday at Razorback Stadium. It’s free to attend.

The third annual Dickson Street Pup Crawl (basically a pub crawl that you can bring your dog to) begins at 2 p.m. in the parking lot next to Kingfish on South School Avenue.

SNL cast member Nasim Pedrad will perform at the UA Student Union on Saturday. It’s free for UA students, and for other residents on a first-come, first-served basis.

There’s a huge metal show at The Lightbulb Club with Deadbird, Hellbeast, and Antartichrist.

Fayetteville Underground’s monthly Last Saturday celebration is this weekend, featuring music by Candy Lee, Randall Shreve, and more.

The show of the weekend may be a house show on Saturday. The Duncan House, located at 330 Duncan Ave., has a five-band bill with Witchsister, Ten High, Dead Indian, Junk Machine and The Brothel Sprouts. The show is also a fundraiser for Backspace, a new venue recently opened at 546 W. Center Street.

The Joe Martin Stage Race is this weekend, and the Sunday Criterion race is always worth checking out. Races happen all day long, from 7 a.m. to 4:40 p.m., and the start/finish line is at the corner of Church and Center streets.

There’s a benefit concert at The Stolen Glass at 6 p.m. on Sunday for local resident Robbie Brooks, who is battling brain cancer. Donations will be accepted at the door, and there will be music by Josey John and Downtown Troubadour.

Maxine’s Tap Room’s popular Whosie Whatsit Gameshow returns to their Sunday Night Service this week. There’s no cover, and it looks like a blast.
