Fayetteville band Teenagers released a brand new EP called Fake Television today, just in time for their show at the Lightbulb Club with locals Family History and Memphis, TN band Werwulf. It’s also a sendoff for singer Travis Keymer, who’s headed to Wyoming for the Summer.

Smoke & Barrel Tavern has locals Cadillac Jackson, and there’s a local show at Kingfish as well with Guta.

Saturday events, May 3

Fayetteville Foam Fest

Grab your dog and get ready to head to Gulley Park on Saturday morning. The Human Society of the Ozarks’ annual Dogwood Walk is happening there beginning at 9 a.m. There’ll be booths with plenty of pet-related items, dog costume contests, and of course, the annual Dogwood Walk parade around the park grounds. Dogs are great.

There’s a crawfish boil at Kingfish on Saturday afternoon from 1- 5 p.m. It’s also a membership drive for the Fayetteville Future Fund, a group that seeks young professionals to come together and raise money for lots of worthy causes throughout the region.

Maine singer/songwriter Slaid Cleaves is back in town for a show at 324 Ballroom on Saturday night. He rules.

There’s a big show at Smoke & Barrel Tavern Saturday night with local favorites Don’t Stop Please and a trio of Arkansas expats now living in Austin, Sad Daddy.

Leftover Salmon fans probably already know the band is in town for a show at George’s on Saturday night. Tickets are $20.

St. Paul and the Broken Bones

There’s another good show at George’s Majestic Lounge on Sunday night, with the soulful St. Paul and the Broken Bones. They pretty much freaked everyone out with their awesomeness at Fayetteville Roots Festival last year.

The Lightbulb Club also has a show on Sunday night, with locals High Lonesome, and Lincoln, NE band, Universe Contest.
