Wilson Park pool to open June 6 with first Dive-in movie

With temperatures forecast in the mid 80s this week and Memorial Day fast approaching, the question likely on lots of lips in Fayetteville over the next few days will be, “When is the Wilson Park pool opening?”

The answer? The pool will open to the public for the 2014 season beginning on Friday, June 6.

As usual, admission is free on opening day this year. After that, regular admission is $2 for kids ages 15 and under and $3 for adults.

Season passes are $45 for kids, and $65 for adults. Season family passes are also available for $105.

Opening day on June 6 will also mark the beginning of the annual Dive-in Movie series, presented by the Fayetteville Firefighter’s Association. The movie series will kick off with the Disney movie, Monsters University. The Dive-In movies will begin at dark, and are free to attend. The move schedule this year is as follows:

June 6 – Monsters University
June 20 – A Bug’s Life
July 11 – Frozen
Aug. 1 – Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs 2
