Volunteers needed for Town Branch cleanup on June 3

The Beaver Watershed Alliance is looking for volunteers to help clean areas along the Town Branch at 3 p.m. Tuesday, June 3 in Fayetteville.

The stream is a tributary of the West Fork of the White River, which flows into the upper reaches of Beaver Lake, the primary water source for more than 300,000 residents in Benton and Washington counties.

John Pennington, BWA executive director, said there are two locations for check-in on Tuesday: the World Peace Wetland Prairie, 1121 S. Duncan Ave.; and the Frisco Trail connection at Walker Park, just west of the skate park.

Participants are encouraged to bring gloves and wear appropriate shoes and clothes. Trash bags will be provided.
