The University of Arkansas student-produced film, Tapping the Ozarks, which documents Fayetteville’s growing craft beer movement, is now available to watch online for free.

Filmmakers Danny Henkel and Alyssa Becker took to Twitter Tuesday night for some last-minute promotion before posting a link to stream the film.

In just an hour, their call for 50 retweets was answered and the film made its online debut.

The 26-minute film includes interviews and commentary from brewers and owners at Apple Blossom, Core, Fossil Cove, Saddlebock and West Mountain brewing companies.

Of course, no documentary on craft beer is complete without proper examination of homebrewing where all of our area’s brewmasters first learned how to make beer.

The film sheds ample light on The Home Brewery shop and its owner, Andy Sparks, who brews up a batch of homemade saison on camera with Jen Royer and Kasey Loman, two of the area’s most prolific homebrewers.

We stayed up late last night counting the retweets and then watched the film. Make sure to check it out when you have an extra half an hour to spare. It’s really great.
