Local Fare Fair set for July 24 at Ozark Natural Foods

Want to sample some local meats, produce, and cheeses, along with some locally made salsa? For free?

If so, it might be a good idea to do your grocery shopping on Thursday this week.

Ozark Natural Foods will host a tasting event with free samples from several of their local producers from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Thursday, July 24, as part of their first ever Local Fare Fair.

The event, intended to celebrate local farms, and highlight some of the local products the store carries, will showcase items from Dixie Flower Soaps, Greenwood Farms (meats), Mason Creek Farm (meats), Sycamore Bend Farm (produce), War Eagle Mill (flours and grains), My Brother’s Salsa, and White River Creamery (cheese).

The event will also include music by local jazz duo, Handmade Moments.

The Local Fare Fair is free to attend, and open to both owners and non-owners of the co-op.
