David Sedaris, Wynton Marsalis, Mythbusters highlight Walton Arts Center 2014-15 season

Wynton Marsalis, Mythbusters, David Sedaris, Clint Black, and Elf the Musical were announced as part of Walton Arts Center’s 2014-15 season.

The Walton Arts Center’s broadway lineup has been out since March, and this week we found out what else is happening as part of the 2014-15 season.

Author/humorist David Sedaris will be back at the arts center on April 23, renowned musician Wynton Marsalis will be here on Dec. 7, and Jamie Hyneman and Adam Savage of the popular Discovery channel show Mythbuster’s will visit Fayetteville as part of their new touring show Mythbusters: Behind the Myths Dec. 12, arts center officials announced this week.

Several family-oriented shows were included in the lineup additions as well, including The Adventures of Robin Hood presented by Visible Fiction on Oct. 19, and Elf the Musical on Nov. 25.

Comedian Bill Engvall will be at the arts center Oct. 17, and famed Chicago comedy school The Second City’s will return to the arts center with their new holiday show, Nut-Cracking Holiday Revue Dec. 5.

Music wise, legendary country music performer Clint Black will perform some Christmas songs on Dec. 4, and singer-songwriter Marc Cohn will be in town April 24.

Along with the lineup additions, the Walton Arts Center also announced this week that Create Your Own subscription packages are now on sale. For more information about the packages, visit waltonartscenter.org.
