Sidewalk work closes Halsell Road and Sang Avenue

Todd Gill, Flyer staff

City crews this week will resume a sidewalk construction project that will require closing a portion of Halsell Road and Sang Avenue for up to six weeks beginning Monday (Aug. 25).

Closures are planned between Cross and Sang avenues on Halsell Road, and between Halsell Road and Cleveland Street on Sang Avenue.

The work includes construction of a new sidewalk along the south side of Halsell Road and along the west side of Sang Avenue. The project also includes new storm drain pipes, inlet boxes, curb, and gutters.

The roads will be closed to regular traffic from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Detour routes will be marked. Traffic will be allowed during non-work hours.
