Friday events, Sept. 26
You might have noticed there’s a motorcycle festival happening in Fayetteville this weekend. Of course, we’re taking about the annual Bikes, Blues & BBQ rally. Highlights of the event on Friday include the annual BBQ competition at the Washington County Fairgrounds at 6 p.m., and musical performances on the main stage by all-local-female supergroup Divas on Fire at 1 p.m., local blues band Oreo Blue at 8 p.m., The Cate Brothers at 9:45 p.m., and all-star guitar jam with Steve Pryor, Jimmy Nace, Gary Hutchison, and Earl Cate at 11:20 p.m.
In non-Bikes, Blues & BBQ events, JR’s Lightbulb Club is celebrating 25 years on Block Avenue with a weekend of free music. Friday night’s lineup features locals High Magic, Family History, The Good Fear, and The Airplanes.
Also, famous folk-rockers, The Avett Brothers, are in town for a Friday night show at The AMP. There are still some tickets available.

Saturday events, Sept. 27
Bikes, Blues & BBQ highlights on Saturday include a Car Show at Arvest Ballpark beginning and a bike show on the Dickson Street Main Stage, both beginning at 8 a.m. Later on, the annual Parade of Power featuring hundreds of bikes will make it’s way from the fairgrounds to Dickson Street at around 4 p.m. There’s also a steak eating contest at the fairgrounds at 4 p.m. Musical headliners on the main stage include Samantha Fish at 8:30 p.m. and Andy Frasco at 10:30 p.m.
The Razorbacks football team will take on Texas A&M in the Southwest Classic at Cowboy’s Stadium in Dallas on Saturday. The game starts at 2:30 p.m., and will be televised by CBS.
There’s a circus in town (random) at Pauline Whitaker Animal Science Center at 6:30 p.m.
Also, the Lightbulb Club’s second night of free music is set for Saturday, and includes performances by Monsterheart, Doctor Nod, Pagiins and Peace Of The Sea.
