A portion of Sycamore Street between College and Walnut avenues will close for about four hours Tuesday, Sept. 30 while Transportation Division crews work to install a concrete bridge.

The work is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. and end around 1 p.m., according to a city news release.

The pedestrian bridge will complete a sidewalk connection on the south side of Sycamore street near the College Avenue intersection.

The road will be completely blocked by heavy equipment and no traffic will be able to pass, said Keith Shreve, Assistant Transportation Manger.

Shreve said drivers should use either Township or North streets as a detour.
