Born in California, Kathy Bohl is a world traveler, massage therapist, and self-taught artist. Since moving to the Ozarks in 1999, she has developed a unique style of jewelry design that combines wirework with Native American beading techniques. Come meet Kathy and see her beautiful work this Thursday from 4-7!

Healing Energy

Dark Star has always carried gemstone beads, but we have recently expanded into the metaphysical healing stones and minerals to energize you and your home. From small tumbled stones to larger specimens and singing bowls, we are excited to welcome this new section of the shop!

About Dark Star Visuals

Dark Star Visuals was established in 1991 by Stacey Wieties. Having spent the previous 20 years following the Grateful Dead and embracing the lighter side of the festival lifestyle, she was inspired to bring some of the treasures discovered in the parking lots of various concert venues. Beautiful import clothing, tie-dyes, accessories, artist designed jewelry, sterling silver, stained glass, and sparkling strands of beads.

Dark Star Visuals began in a small back room of a friend’s shop and moved to our current location in 1993. From 1993 to 2003, Dark Star boomed into a lifestyle of community & music in partnership with Chester’s Place. The connection with Chester’s put us on the map as the place to buy show tickets, find communtity, and create unique style.

Today, we are still nestled in the Ozarks in the historic downtown shopping district of Fayetteville. Dark Star is NWA’s largest full service bead store with thousands of beads, findings, and stringing materials. Sterling Silver and Gold filled wire, Chains, Gemstones, Vintage Glass, Swarovski & Chinese crystal, Czech. Glass, Bone , Horn, Wood, Shell… Home of custom design and design your own jewelry. We offer basic jewelry repair and recycle old tired styles into new one of a kind looks. For anyone serious about learning, we offer jewelry making classes with guest teachers monthly and basic jewelry instruction daily. Peruse the store for one a kind jewelry design’s, import clothing, candles, incense, essential oils, and accessories.

Moving into 2015 we are going online to capture a greater audience and hope you will join us.
