Friday events, Oct. 10

Remember the all-female all-star band from the local blues scene called Divas on Fire that formed for Bikes, Blues & BBQ? They’re playing happy hour at George’s Friday night. Admission is typically $5.

Later on at George’s, there’s a big country-rock show with Jason Boland and the Stragglers and former Cross Canadian Ragweed frontman, Cody Canada. Looks like that one is nearly sold out.

Some of the members of former Fayetteville band Ctrl+Alt+Delete have a new project called Man’s Red Fire, and they’ll be performing at Ryleigh’s Friday night.

Local songwriter Dana Louise is also set to play Friday night, with an outdoor show planned at Kingfish. It’s probably best to keep an eye on the weather for this one.
