Early and absentee vote counting began shortly after 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Washington County Courthouse in Fayetteville for the Nov. 4 general election.
Volunteers arrived with the first round of Election Day ballot boxes at about 8:00 p.m. Partial results were released shortly after midnight.
