Giveaway: Wynton Marsalis, Dec. 7 at Walton Arts Center

Musician, composer, band leader, and educator. When it comes to jazz music, there isn’t much Wynton Marsallis hasn’t done.

The legendary artist, who has performed and composed music across the full jazz spectrum from its New Orleans roots to bebop to modern jazz, is set to return to Fayetteville for a Dec. 7 performance at Walton Arts Center.

Marsalis will perform with the Jazz at Lincoln Center orchestra, featuring some of the most talented soloists and ensemble players in the world along with vocalist Cecile McLorin Salvant.

Tickets to the show are $52-$82, but you won’t have to worry about that if you win our little giveaway below. Good luck, buddy.

Wynton Marsalis is best known for his work as a trumpeter. Do you play any musical instruments? If yes, tell us about it below and you’re entered. If not, tell us which instrument you wish you could play.

What you’ll win

One winner will win two (2) tickets to the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra performance featuring Wynton Marsalis on Sunday, Dec. 7 at Walton Arts Center.

A few rules (read ‘em carefully):

  • You may only enter this specific contest once.
  • This contest is open to anyone anywhere except Fayetteville Flyer writers, Walton Arts Center employees, and their immediate family members.
  • Contest is open until noon on Tuesday, Nov. 18.
    Make sure you leave a valid email address when filling out the comment form since that’s how we’ll contact you if you’ve won. Once we notify the winners, you’ll have 24 hours to respond via email to claim your prize.
  • You’ll have to provide us with your first and last name (if you win) and then be prepared to show a valid photo ID when picking up your tickets.
