2. Purchase: Modular Desk Systems – $39,930 (PDF): A resolution to approve the purchase of nine (9) modular desk systems from Norman Company of Fort Smith, Arkansas pursuant to the U.S. Communities government purchasing alliance contract in the amount of $39,929.73.

3. Hazmat Services Revenue – $3,310 (PDF): A resolution to approve a budget adjustment recognizing Hazmat Services Revenue received by the Fire Department from Washington County in 2014 in the amount of $3,310.00.

Fire Department Donation Revenue – $800 (PDF): A resolution to approve a budget adjustment in the amount of $800.00 representing donation revenue from Pierce Manufacturing, Inc., Smith Two-way Radio, Inc., and G&W Diesel Service for the Fayetteville Fire Department’s annual employee service award banquet.

ADEQ Grant Acceptance – $10,000 (PDF): A resolution to authorize acceptance of a 2014 Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality grant through the Boston Mountain Solid Waste District in the amount of $10,000.00 for the purchase of public space recycling containers, and to approve a budget adjustment.

ADEQ Grant Acceptance – $5,000 (PDF): A resolution to authorize acceptance of a 2014 Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality grant through the Boston Mountain Solid Waste District in the amount of $5,000.00 for an update of the code compliance activity book, and to approve a budget adjustment.

4. Intent to Amend Chapter 119 Civil Rights Administration (PDF): A resolution to express the City Council’s intent to amend Chapter 119 Civil Rights Administration of the Fayetteville code after its passage by Fayetteville voters. – Pass 7-0*
* Alderman Tennant said he was happy to support the amendment because it admits there are flaws in the ordinance. However, he said he believes there are many other flaws in the ordinance and made a motion to add an agenda item to repeal the ordinance tonight. Alderman Schoppmeyer seconded the idea, but the motion failed 2-5 with Gray, Kinion, Petty, Adams and Long voting against.


Announcements

– The Lights of the Ozarks ceremony is set for Friday, Nov. 21 on the Fayetteville square.
– Officials are looking to fill 22 positions on 12 of the city’s boards, commissions and committees.
