If you’re not into local live music, theatre, improv, stand-up comedy, poetry, fireworks, giant puppet parades, or general merriment and good times, you should probably avoid the Fayetteville square Wednesday night.

But if you enjoy any of these things, well, the annual Last Night Fayetteville New Year’s Eve celebration might be the perfect way to ring in 2015.

The event, set to begin at 6:30 p.m. at venues around the square on Dec. 31, is entering its fourth year after a group of locals took over the longstanding First Night Fayetteville, changed the name, and revitalized the annual celebration of the New Year in Fayetteville.

The lineup for the event was released last month, and this week, organizers unveiled the more specific stage schedule featuring times and places for all the festivities.

The full schedule (below) this year includes musical performances by Randall Shreve & The Sideshow, Smokey & The Mirror, Shawn James & The Shapeshifters, Cutty Rye, Adam Cox, John Henry & Friends, and Witchsister, as well as live theatre by Artist Laboratory Theatre, improv from Phunbags Comedy Improv and Rodeo Book Club, comedy by Comedians NWA, and live poetry from Fayetteville Word Wars.

Also on tap are performances by Terranova Tribal Bellydancers, Violetta Lotus Burlesque Diamond Divas Drag Extrabaganza, and more.

Kid friendly activities will also return to the event, including a craft making station, storytelling, a giant puppet parade, and performances by local performer, Shaky Bugs.

A “Hog drop,” (similar to the ball-drop in Times Square) featuring a 8.5-foot-long hog sculpture is set for at midnight as attendees count down the arrival of the New Year, and there will be a fireworks display finale to the music of Ozarka Orchestra.

General admission to Last Night Fayetteville is $20 in advance for adults and $5 for children.
