Maxine’s Tap Room to host bartenders from Little Rock’s Big Orange Saturday

Some central Arkansas bartenders will be showing off their skills in Fayetteville this weekend.

Mix masters Brett Bassett, Ben Seay, and Lee Edwards from popular Little Rock restaurant Big Orange will be in town for a “Bartender Pop-Up” event at Maxine’s Tap Room on Saturday, Feb. 7.

The trio of bartenders will be making Big Orange signature craft cocktails from 7-10 p.m. at Maxine’s, and then on Feb. 21, several Maxine’s bartenders will make a trip to Little Rock to return the favor.

Hannah Withers of Maxine’s said that the two bars have been mutually admiring each other’s work for a while now.

“We’ve been down there a few times in the last month, and they’ve been visiting us, too,” she said. “Plus we’ve been looking for someone to trade with for a night, just because we thought it’d be fun.”

Withers said that in addition to the special menu offered by the Big Orange bartenders on Saturday, customers will still be able to order from Maxine’s regular menu.

There’s no admission fee to the pop-up event. Just come thirsty.
