Registration is underway for the city’s 2015 girls youth softball league.
Early registration runs through March 15 and late registration is from March 16-27 (cost is $10 more during late registration).
Cost to participate ranges from $60-$70 depending on age. All teams are provided with helmets for practices and games, and catchers are provided with catching gear. Game balls are also provided for each game, and umpires are present for all U8-U18 leagues.
Practices for all leagues begin April 20. League games begin May 4 and end no later than June 11. Girls in U8-U18 play in a post-season tournament June 15-18. All girls will usually practice or play twice each week, with all practices and games being held on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday evenings at Gary Hampton Softball Complex or Wilson Park Softball Field.

Parents may also register by submitting a paper registration form at the Parks and Recreation Office or by mailing a paper form to Attn: Fayetteville Parks and Recreation Softball, 113 West Mountain, Fayetteville, Arkansas 72701.
Sponsors and volunteers needed
Local business sponsors are needed for the upcoming season. When a business sponsors a team, the company’s logo is printed onto the team’s jerseys, and the sponsor receives a plaque at the end of the season.
Volunteer coaches are also needed. Parks and Recreation staff will offer training for coaches and will welcome coaches with any level of experience.
