A broken water pipe created an odd scene just off the downtown square early Thursday morning in Fayetteville.
Water spewed from a busted cooling tower atop the Pryor Center for Arkansas Oral and Visual History leaving a trail of ice down the side of the building and completely covering a tree on the sidewalk below.
A crew with the University of Arkansas Facilities Management Division scattered salt over the sidewalk, but a section of Mountain Street remained ice-covered for several hours.
The ice sculpture set the scene for several photo opportunities throughout the day before the tree was eventually removed.
