Valentine’s Day Puppy-Grams return for 2015 in Fayetteville

Puppy-Grams will return for another Valentine’s Day season in Fayetteville.

For a suggested donation of at least $30, the Fayetteville Animal Shelter will make sure your valentine receives a 10-minute visit from a lovable former shelter dog.

“We did this program for the first time last year and had an overwhelmingly positive result,” said Joni Mosher, shelter programs administrator. “This year we have expanded the program to three days and each day we will have a large dog and small dog option for folks to choose from.”

Reprising their roles again this year will be Rocco, a standard poodle, and Gabby, a small terrier mix. New this year will be Polly, a dachshund mix, and Dooley, a Great Pyrenees.

Those receiving a Puppy-Gram will also be presented with one long-stemmed rose and a card acknowledging that a donation has been made to the shelter in their honor.

All of the funds raised will go into the shelter’s donation account to be used as needed throughout the year and all donations are tax deductible.

Puppy-Gram visits are available from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 11 through Friday, Feb. 13.

The service is available for Fayetteville addresses only, and shelter officials are asking applicants to please make sure it is permissible for your valentine to receive their Puppy-Gram at the desired location.

To sign up, visit the shelter at 1640 S. Armstrong Ave., or call 479-444-3456.
