Block Street Block Party set for May 17, 2015

Mark your calendar and clear your schedule for Sunday, May 17, everyone.

That’s the date for the fifth annual Block Street Block Party, the local street festival featuring several stages of live music, arts and craft vendors, games, food, and general awesomeness each year along Block Avenue.

Organizers of the festival are already seeking volunteers, vendors, and sponsors for this year’s event, and applications for all three are available at blockstreetbusinesses.com.

Booth fees are $125 for food vendors, and $75 for other businesses. Non-profit booths are also available for either a $75 fee, or $25 plus a four-hour volunteer shift during the festival.

Details of this year’s event are still in the works, but the festival typically features dozens of bands and DJs, local beer gardens, kids activities, and about a zillion other things.

Here are some photos from last year, and the year before that, to give you an idea of what to expect.

For more information about the Block Street Block Party, visit blockstreetbusinesses.com.
