One of the largest hotels in Fayetteville has closed for business.

Signs posted outside the Grand Hotel at 1255 N. Shiloh Drive on Wednesday indicate that the business was closed by a court order.

The hotel, formerly known as the Clarion Inn, was the largest in Fayetteville with 197 sleeping rooms available according to a 2011 study commissioned by the University of Arkansas.

In addition, the hotel facility also included spaces for conferences and meetings, a restaurant, and a nightclub called Rascal’s Roost.

A post on the Rascal’s Roost Facebook page also mentions the closure.

TBones Management, LLC, the company that has been operating the hotel for the last few years has been involved in a bankruptcy case that recently concluded. As of Tuesday afternoon, the Flyer still working to obtain a copy of the settlement.

Update: According to court documents, the bankruptcy case was dismissed on Jan. 21. The hotel was still closed, however, as part of a foreclosure on the property.

Calls to the hotel’s automated answering system Tuesday are not being picked up.
