There’s a big show at the Lightbulb Club Friday, with Little Rock’s Adam Faucett & The Tall Grass, along with locals The Good Fear and Ryan Pickop. Admission is $5.

Little Rock songwriter Kevin Kerby (Mulehead) will be at Smoke & Barrel Friday night for a show with Illinois jug band Bones, Jugs & Harmony.

There’s a Grateful Dead tribute called Forgotten Space performing at George’s. Tickets are $15.

Also, locals Brother Moses are set to play with Jungle Cycle at Backspace starting at around 8 p.m.

How about a burlesque show? There’s one at Ryleigh’s, with local troupe Violetta Lotus Burlesque.

There’s a comedy show at Fayetteville Underground as well, featuring Troy Gittings, Brett Robinson, Jonathan Shannon, Forster McAlexander, and Saul Malone, and hosted by Stef Bright. There’s no cover, either.

The annual Dig In! Food & Farming festival is also happening this weekend in downtown Springdale. We wrote about that earlier this week.

Saturday events, March 7

There’s a benefit for local musician, artist, and advocate Dan Dean, who recently suffered a severe spinal chord injury, on Saturday and Sunday this weekend. Saturday’s event will take place at Ozark Folkways, and will include live music by local musicians Jesse Dean, Dave Baer, Shannon Wurst, Susan Shore & Michael Cochran, and Still on the Hill. The symphony is back at Walton Arts Center this week. Symphony of Northwest Arkansas will perform their Masterworks III concert Saturday night, featuring songs inspired by land and sea. More info.

Local rock band The Thunderlizards are back in action with a show at the new Nomad’s Music Lounge in south Fayetteville.

90s rockers Helmet are back together for a tour, and they’ll perform at The Lightbulb Club Saturday Night. This one’s sure to be a packed house, so get there early.

There’s also a big show at Smoke & Barrel Tavern with Memphis band Motel Mirrors (featuring Amy LaVere, John Paul Keith, and Shawn Zorn) and Missouri Americana band, the Souveneers. Admission to this one’s $5 as well.

Sunday events, March 8

The second night of the “We’ve Got Dan’s Back” fundraiser for local artist Dan Dean will take place on Sunday at George’s. Performances by Jeff Kearney, Cutty Rye, Ozark Orkestra, Randall Shreve, Rochelle Bradshaw & Hypnotion are scheduled, and all the proceeds go to help Dan and his wife Laura with medical expenses.
