New Flyer Sponsor: Fayettechill

Fayettechill in America

Those of us who’ve lived here in Fayetteville a long time may take it for granted, but it’s one of the first things that visitors to the area notice.

The hills, the rivers and streams, the wooded areas both integrated into the city and surrounding its borders.

The views that make the drive up I-49 into town from the south spectacular, or the winding route from the airport the meanders around hills and through forests of trees and rolling meadows.

Fayetteville in a beautiful place.

The natural beauty of the Ozarks, and a love for all the things you can do in the outdoors here in the region has inspired a lot of things over the years. Songwriters, for certain. Art. Poetry.

It has inspired visitors to drop everything, load up their belongings, and leave their homes to move to town.

It has even inspired some entrepreneurs to create new businesses, including a relatively young company that we’re happy to announce has recently signed on to become a sponsor of the Fayetteville Flyer.

Please help us welcome outdoor culture company Fayettechill to the Flyer family.

Fayettechill started in 2009 when founder Mo Elliot was still in college at the University of Arkansas.

Since then, Elliot and his business parnters Devin O’Dea and Grant Holden have grown Fayettechill from a local t-shirt company to a full-scale outdoor apparel lifestyle brand that transcends the Ozark region and the city it was named for. Fayettechill products are now available at over 70 retailers in 13 states, and business is expanding every day.

The company recently launched a new Spring/Summer 2015 line of apparel, featuring new t-shirts, hats and shorts for both men and women.

In addition to its products, Fayettechill is also dedicated to several local outdoor non-profits and conservation efforts, including the Arkansas Climbers Association, Ozark Off-Road Cyclists, Buffalo River Foundation, and the Arkansas Chapter of Trout Unlimited. They also sponsor several outdoor sports athletes in the region as they continue to help put the Ozarks on the map as a place for everything from rock climbing, to mountain biking, long boarding, and more.

Fayettechill has two locations in Fayetteville, their base camp store at 205 W. Dickson St., and their warehouse and headquarters inside the old Ozark Mountain Smokehouse at 1725 S. Smokehouse Trail.

The company frequently hosts events, sales, and even music or speakers and seminars at their Smokehouse headquarters, so follow them on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram to make sure you don’t miss their next event.

We’re excited to be working with them, as the support of local businesses like Fayettechill are what keeps the Flyer going.

Welcome aboard!
