They say that nothing goes better with a plate of delicious Girl Scout cookies than an ice cold glass of milk.

The folks at Maxine’s Tap Room, however, would beg to differ on that.

The bar this week will host their first ever whiskey and Girl Scout cookie pairing event at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, April 8.

The staff has selected seven premium whiskeys to pair with seven Girl Scout cookie varieties for the event. Basil Hayden’s will be paired with Thin Mints, for example, or Michter’s Rye will be served with a Tagalongs.

You can “earn your whiskey badge,” i.e. participate in the tasting event for $20, and that includes the price of the seven whiskeys and cookies.
