With so many up and coming new restaurants, chefs and breweries throughout NW Arkansas these days, it was only a matter of time before someone had the idea to get them all together in one place. The folks in charge of organizing the LPGA event in Rogers each year have done just that with the announcement of the first ever NW Arkansas Food Festival slated to take place at the Walmart AMP June 25 and 26.
In its inaugural year, the festival will consist of two mouthwatering events meant to celebrate the flourishing culinary scene of NWA. Taste of NW Arkansas (6-9 p.m., June 25) hosted by Celebrity Chef Carla Hall will provide guests the chance to mix, mingle and sample southern comfort inspired menu items prepared by the best restaurants and chefs from throughout the region. Participating restaurants include 21c’s The Hive, Tusk & Trotter, Ruth’s Chris, Theo’s, Deluxe Burger and more.
The first ever NW Arkansas Beer and Burger Fest (6-9 p.m., June 26) will showcase the best burger restaurants in the area paired with notable local and national brews. Core Brewing Company, Saddlebock, Ozark Beer Company and more will all be on tap. Throw in some music and it promises to be a fun night at the Walmart AMP.
Tickets for both events are in high demand with only 1,000 available to the general public. Priced at $30 each or $50 for a couple’s ticket, food fanatics should visit nwachampionship.com to get theirs before they run out.
The NW Arkansas Food Festival is part of LPGA week in NW Arkansas. The best female golfers in the world will once again return to Pinnacle Country Club, June 23-28. Other events planned for LPGA week include a 5K race, Pantene Beautiful Lengths hair donation event and a Colbie Caillat concert. All event information can be found at nwachampionship.com.
