The 38th annual Joe Martin Stage Race is taking place at various spots around Downtown Fayetteville all weekend. Here’s a summary of the best places to watch the bike races.

The first AMP show of the season is also Friday night. Alt-rockers NEEDTOBREATHE, as well as former Fayetteville resident Ben Rector will perform, along with Drew Holcomb & the Neighbors and Colony House.

Songwriter Marc Cohn will be at the Walton Arts Center. For those who aren’t familiar, he’s best known for his 1991 hit Walkin’ in Memphis.

It’s the last chance to see TheatreSquared’s Superior Donuts this weekend as well. Shows are scheduled through Sunday at Nadine Baum Studios. Here’s more.

Saturday events, April 25

It’s going to be absolutely gorgeous this weekend, which means the Farmers’ market is gonna be hopping on Saturday morning on the Fayetteville square. Everyone’s gonna be down there.

Also on Saturday is Razorfest, a kid-friendly festival featuring inflatables, games, and activities for kids outside Razorback Stadium beginning at 9 a.m. After that, the Razorbacks will play their annual Spring Red/White Football game at 1 p.m.

Music wise, Smoke & Barrel has a good show with gypsy blues-folk artist Nicolas St. James along with local bands The Ghoul Goes West and Dividend.

ALso Saturday night, Local supergroup Isayah’s All-Stars will play their Allman Brothers Tribute on the patio at Kingfish.

Sunday events, April 26

A memorial service in honor of Fayetteville poet and former University of Arkansas professor, Miller Williams, is planned for 5 p.m. on Sunday at the Fayetteville Public Library. Doors open at 4:30 p.m., and the public is invited to attend.

George’s has a big show with Fayetteville native Joseph Israel returning to town for a Sunday night performance. Tickets are available at George’s ticketing site.
