Khana Indian Grill finds home on College Avenue

After months of searching, Khana Indian Grill has finally found a home.

According to owners Lisa, Abhijeet, and their son Larkin Purkayastha, the authentic Indian restaurant will soon open at 2101 N. College Ave., in the space formerly home to Little Guy’s Movers.

Lisa said that new restaurant will focus on a small menu of some of their favorite Indian dishes made with local and organic ingredients whenever possible. The menu for the new restaurant is still in development, she said, but the spice blends will come from Abhijeet’s sister, who owns a restaurant in India

“It’s going to be kind of a greatest hits of Indian cuisine,” Lisa told us last August.

The restaurant originally planned to open in the Dickson in 2014, but the deal fell through in the planning stages.

Architectural work on the space is nearly complete, and the renovations are set to begin later this month.

If all goes well, the new restaurant will be open sometime this fall.
