Fayetteville firefighters extinguished a fire on the rooftop of Hawaiian Brian’s Restaurant in downtown Fayetteville Tuesday afternoon.

The restaurant is located at 25 E. Center Street, just off the Fayetteville square.

According to Hawaiian Brian’s owner Shanea Holmbeck, the fire did not start in the kitchen, and appeared to come from the roof of the building where roofers were working Tuesday.

Fire crews were still inspecting the roof as of about 2:15 p.m., but officials told us they believed the fire was already out when we arrived.

No one is believed to have been injured in the blaze.

We’ll update this story with more information as it becomes available.
