The students are gone for the summer, and that means its time for the grown ups to take back over Dickson Street (and the rest of the city) for the next few months.
Just in time, George’s Majestic Lounge has recently released their lineup of shows planned for this summer.
The lineup includes touring bands like blues superwoman Samantha Fish & the Mudhawks (June 12), Nashville funk outfit Here Come the Mummies, Denison (July 17), metal band Texas Hippie Coalition (July 12), and alt rock band Finger Eleven (July 27).
There are plenty of local talent on the lineup as well, including up-and-comers Vintage Pistol and Buffalo Hustle, along with established acts like Groovement, Boom!Kinetic, and Benjamin Del Shreve Band.
A couple tribute shows are on the books as well, including Hot Lix 80s Hairband Tribute (June 13), NWA Parrot Heads’ annual Jimmy Buffet Tribute (July 18), George’s 11th annual Jerry Garcia Jam (July 31), and Ozzy Ozzbourne and Black Sabbath Tributes are planned Aug. 8.
The summer lineup culminates with the Fayetteville Roots Festival Aug. 27-30 (George’s lineup to be announced.)
