2015 Fayetteville Roots Fest nearing sellout

  • By Dustin Bartholomew · Tuesday, Jul 21, 2015

2015 lineup

Sad news, procrastinators.

Anyone hoping to wait around until the last minute to purchase tickets to the Fayetteville Roots Festival might be out of luck.

Organizers this week announced that both the four-day “Friends of the Festival” passes, as well as the main stage performances on both Friday and Saturday night are completely sold out.

Only about 200 tickets remain for he recently added Sunday night show featuring Watkins Family Hour (A supergroup made up of Sean & Sarah Watkins of Nickel Creek, Fiona Apple, Don Heffington, Sebastian Steinberg, and special guests), Jimmy LaFave, Devin Sproule, Dana Louise & The Glorious Birds, and John Elliot.

Tickets to late night shows scheduled for George’s Majestic Lounge have yet to go on sale, but will be made available soon (we’ve got a request in for that info, and will add it here as soon as we hear back). Those shows include a festival kickoff party on Wednesday night at George’s with Hardworking Americans, followed by a free Thursday night show with locals The Sisters Sweet, Handmade Moments, and the Silvershakers.

George’s Friday night lineup will include Anthony da Costa, Mark & Cindy Bilyeu, and the Shook Twins. Saturday night will include headliner Pokey LaFarge with regional act Ben Miller Band and locals Cutty Rye.

The 2015 Fayetteville Roots Festival takes place Aug. 27-30 at various locations around Fayetteville. Headliners include The Punch Brothers, JD McPherson, John Fullbright, I’m With Her, The Steel Wheels, Martha Scanlan and John Moreland, Smokey & The Mirror, and many more.
