Polish up your putt-putt skills and get ready to raise some money for a good cause, Fayetteville. It’s time for Putt for Paws.

The 7th annual event is set for Saturday, Aug. 22 at Gator Golf in Fayetteville, and benefits the Humane Society of the Ozarks.

The entry fee is $25, and includes a round of mini-golf, a t-shirt, and a buffet-style lunch at Foghorn’s.

A free shuttle service from the midtown Foghorn’s location (1815 Green Acres Rd.) will be provided to and from Gator Golf. During lunch at the restaurant, live music will be provided by Mrs. Roper’s Pool Boys starting at 11 a.m., and raffle drawings will take place at noon.

Several adoptable animals will also be on hand for folks to meet.

The event has gotten bigger and better every year. According to organizer Jeff Hodges, Putt for Paws raised nearly $15,000 in 2014 and a total of over $43,000 since it began in 2008.

For a bit more information, check out the Facebook page for the event.
