Thursday, Aug. 20
There’s a big show Thursday night at Backspace this week, with a four band bill headlined by one-man synth pop band/weirdo, The Emotron. Oklahoma City grunge-influenced band Brother Gruesome, and local punk band Chicken Nugget and Nathan Riggs.
George’s also has a big show with Georgia producer, Herobust.
If none of that sounds good, this weather rules, and 21st Amendment’s weekly Vacay on the Roof party is happening tonight as well.

Saturday, Aug. 22
Highly acclaimed rockers/shredding maniacs Diarrhea Planet are in town for, as far as we know, their first ever Fayetteville show Friday night at JR’s. Locals Teenagers will open. It should be a good one. Just listen to a little bit of this.
Also Saturday night, Randall Shreve & The Devilles will perform with Silent Waits the Archer, and the Toos at George’s. Shreve will be celebrating the release of his new album (and a new band). Party.
There’s a three band bill at Nomad’s Music Lounge as well, featuring locals High Lonesome, along with Carry Illinois (Austin), and locals, Lost John.
There’s also a show at the AMP with outlaw country artist Hank Williams Jr., 38 Special, and Whiskey Myers.
