Fayetteville police are asking for the public’s help in finding a man who attacked a woman who was walking along Lake Fayetteville Trail Sunday afternoon.
According to a post on the police department’s Facebook page, the man is described as approximately 30 years old with an average build and short hair. He was last seen walking westbound on the trail wearing a baseball cap, a dark gray or black shirt, cargo shorts, and a dark colored backpack.

A witness told police the man may have been driving a 1990s model Ford Ranger pickup with a faded and dull paint job.
