Police release stats for first two days of Bikes, Blues & BBQ

The 2015 Bikes, Blues & BBQ motorcycle rally has so far accounted for nearly a dozen arrests and one reported motorcycle accident within the Fayetteville city limits.

Police said 11 people were arrested on Wednesday and Thursday in the rally event areas. Of those arrested, 10 were from Fayetteville, and one was from Jonesboro. Charges included disorderly conduct, public intoxication, theft of property, minor in possession of alcohol, commercial burglary, and breaking or entering.

The wreck happened Thursday on Gregg Avenue when a 20-year-old Fayetteville woman driving a Ford Taurus turned in front of a Harley Davidson motorcycle carrying two Springdale residents, according to a news release. The motorcycle passengers were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injures, and the driver of the car was cited for failure to yield and no proof of insurance.

Wednesday arrests:

  • A 45-year-old Fayetteville man was arrested for disorderly conduct, refusal to submit to arrest and obstructing governmental operations near Dickson Street and West Avenue.
  • A 37-year-old man from Fayetteville was arrested for public intoxication near 25 S. Gregg Street.
  • A 46-year-old Fayetteville man was arrested for public intoxication near 624 W. Dickson Street.
  • A 19-year-old man from Fayetteville was arrested for commercial burglary, theft of property and minor in possession of alcohol at 430 W. Dickson Street.
  • A 22-year-old Fayetteville man was arrested for commercial burglary, theft of property, public intoxication and disorderly conduct at 430 W. Dickson Street.

Thursday arrests:

  • A 22-year-old woman from Jonesboro was arrested for public intoxication at Dickson and Gregg streets.
  • A 34-year-old Fayetteville woman was arrested for public intoxication at Dickson Street and West Avenue.
  • A 22-year-old man from Fayetteville was arrested for commercial burglary and theft of property at the railroad crossing on Dickson Street. and the Railroad Tracks. He was a third suspect from Wednesday night’s burglary at Hog Haus Brewing Co.
  • An 18-year-old Fayetteville man was arrested for breaking or entering, theft of property, minor in possession of alcohol, criminal trespass and fleeing near 495 W. Dickson Street.
  • An 18-year-old man from Fayetteville was arrested for breaking or entering, theft of property and minor in possession of alcohol near 495 W. Dickson Street.
  • A 20-year-old Fayetteville man was arrested for breaking or entering, theft of property, minor in possession of alcohol, criminal trespass, fleeing and refusal to submit to arrest near 495 W. Dickson Street.
