First Thursday Fayetteville, the monthly celebration featuring live music, food trucks, local beer, and of course, an art walk with dozens of local artists and crafters selling their wares, returns Oct. 1.

It’s the last outdoor event of the year, but galleries around the square including the Fayetteville Underground usually carry the torch with art openings through the winter months.

Here’s what we know about this month’s event.

On the square

Entertainment will begin at 5:30 p.m. on the main stage with a singalong for kids led by local musician Troy Schremmer.

After that, local cover band Got it Covered will take the stage from 7-9 p.m.

As always, many local artists will have booths set up around the square with paintings, woodwork, ceramics, photography, jewelry, and more.

This month, the beer garden will be located on the Old Post Office building patio in the middle of the downtown square.

The featured local brewery this month is Fossil Cove.

Fayetteville Underground

The Fayetteville Underground this month will feature Artists of Northwest Arkansas, a regional juried exhibition featuring drawings, paintings, photography, multimedia works, and sculpture. Music will be provided by The Jazz Misfits, and as always, refreshments will be served.

Parking

Free parking will be available in the Fayetteville Town Center parking deck beginning at noon.
