Fayetteville offers new online utility bill payment features, adds phone options

Fayetteville officials plan to launch a more convenient, user-friendly, online utility bill payment system on Tuesday, Oct. 13.

The new, mobile-friendly website will allow city utility customers to securely save payment information, sign up to receive bill reminders via email, and schedule automatic payments from a checking account or credit card, according to a news release.

The new system will offer a “Pay Now” option that allows for quick payment without having to register for an account. Customers with registered accounts will notice other new features, including the ability to view and pay multiple accounts at once, and being able to view payment history and past billing statements.

The city is also implementing a new automated phone payment system which will give customers the ability to make payment with a credit card, debit card, or E-Check.

“We are excited about these changes and the additional options our customers now have to pay their utility bills,” said Cheryl Partain, the city’s manager of utilities financial services. “This system reflects our commitment to providing a superior customer service experience. We recognize that customers want flexibility, accessibility, convenience, and a user-friendly experience without sacrificing security. We believe these new system delivers these features.”
