Weekend Flyer: Oct. 16-18, 2015

  • By Dustin Bartholomew · Friday, Oct 16, 2015

Friday, Oct. 16

TheatreSquared hosted a preview performance on Thursday, and their new show Water by the Spoonful officially opens this weekend at Nadine Baum Studios. Here’s a schedule and ticket information.

For mid-October, it has been unseasonably warm so far this year. That means, among other things, that outdoor music is still possible in Fayetteville. Friday night, excellent locals High Lonesome and Jackson Jennings 5 will be at Kingfish.

Also worth mentioning is a new festival taking place just up the road in Eureka Springs. The Hillberry 2 Harvest Moon Festival will debut at The Farm. The lineup includes Leftover Salmon, Lettuce ALO, Wookiefoot, and more. Visit their website for more info.

There are only a few more weeks for the Fayetteville Farmers’ Market on the square. Get down there while you can.

If you feel like doing some community service on Saturday, there’s a big clean up event at Lake Fayetteville to help remove litter in the park, along the Razorback Greenway and trails, around the lake, and along Hwy 265. Here are details on how to participate.

Fayetteville’s favorite all-sister rock band Witchsister is back in action with a show Saturday night at DIY venue Backspace with Springfield, MO band Grandma Strange.
