More than 250 clay trolls hand-crafted by local artists and community members will be auctioned off to benefit Terra Studios on Sunday, Nov. 20 at the Chancellor Hotel in Fayetteville.

The event, called The Magic Of Terra Studios, is the first ever fundraiser for the local art destination, gallery, and arts education organization located just outside Fayetteville.

Terra Studios has been around for 40 years, and is locally famous for their Bluebird of Happiness glass sculptures, but just recently converted to 501(c)(3) non-profit status. The fundraiser will help the organization further it’s mission to “devote all resources, profits, energies and donations to a dream of a brighter future through using art to create a better world.”

The trolls were created over the past few months, with several prominent local personalities and artists coming together for “troll parties” at the Terra Studios facility at 12103 Hazel Valley Road just outside Fayetteville.

In addition to the trolls being auctioned, several pieces of art by members of Art of Northwest Arkansas will also be available for purchase through silent and live auction.

There will also be music by Brenda Bowen Cox and Carol Widder, Gregorio Salerno, and Stephen and Bonnie Turner. Dress is casual, and light hors d’oeuvres will be served.

Doors open at 2 p.m., and the event will run until about 5 p.m. Tickets are $25 in advance, or $35 at the door.
