AD: Get out those running shoes and show your appreciation for Fayetteville’s parks & trails

  • Paid Post · Wednesday, Nov 11, 2015

Fayetteville Parks and Recreation will offer its first running event of the Fayetteville Race Series on Sunday, Nov. 22.

Run for the Parks is a chance for runners and walkers to show their support for, and give back to, Fayetteville Parks and Recreation. The race will take place along the city’s main paved trail system made up of Clear Creek, Scull Creek, and Frisco trails.

The race has three distance options: 8.5 miles, 4.5 miles, or 2.5 miles. Each will start in a different trailside park and finish at Walker Park.

Online registration is open and available at onlinesignup.org/fayetteville. Registration includes race timing, a supported course, a long sleeve t-shirt, post-race pancakes, and chair massages! Awards will be given to overall top finishers and age group top finishers in each race.

Fees are as follows:
8.5 mile Distance – $45
4.5 mile Distance – $35
2.5 mile Distance – $35

With several distance options and a festive post-race gathering, we hope Run for the Parks can find the runner or walker in everyone!
