A local resale shop will soon have a new location at the northwest corner of College Avenue and Sycamore Street.

The owners of the Daisy Exchange have purchased the property, formerly home to Smokin’ Hog B-B-Q and Long John Silver’s, and plan to construct a building and move their business there soon.

Daisy Exchange store owner Cortney Hart told us Thursday she purchased the land for a pretty simple reason – she was tired of spending money on rent.

Washington County records indicate that the property sold back in the spring for $322,500.

Daisy Exchange is currently located at 2407 N. College Ave. next to Braum’s. According to their website, the company operates four locations in Oklahoma in addition to the local store.

Hart said she is waiting for some building permits to come in, and plans to start construction in the next two weeks.

She is targeting a late summer 2016 date to open in the new location.
