Fall commencement at the University of Arkansas has outgrown its regular home at Barnhill Arena, and will be held at Bud Walton Arena this year.

The ceremony, set for 9 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 19, will include about 1,200 students this semester, which UA officials said is the most to ever participate in the fall ceremony.

Doors open at 7:30 a.m., and no tickets are required.

Free parking is available in lots 46, 47N, 47S, 56 and 74A, B, C and E, all of which are near Walton Arena (see the map below).

Parking for people with disabilities is available in Lot 60, and drop-off is located at the south entrance of Bud Walton Arena. Seating for people with disabilities is available on the concourse level, which is accessible by elevator.

Author James Patterson and investment banker Don Rice will receive honorary degrees and speak at the ceremony, and The Boston Mountain Brassworks band will present a pre-ceremony concert starting at 8:30 a.m.

For those who are unable to attend the event, the ceremony will be steamed online.
