Fayetteville offers free holiday parking

Fayetteville will offer free parking in the Downtown Square District and the Dickson Street Entertainment District on Christmas Eve (Dec. 24), Christmas Day (Dec. 25), and on New Year’s Day (Jan. 1), according to a news release.

From the release:

In the Downtown Square Parking District, municipal parking restrictions will not be enforced on Thursday, Dec. 24; Friday, Dec. 25; and Friday Jan. 1 from 8 a.m. through 6 p.m.; however, drivers should not park in spaces reserved for Lights of the Ozarks or First Night vendors on the Square.

In the Dickson Street Entertainment Parking District, municipal parking restrictions will not be enforced from 2 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 24 through 2 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 26 and from 2 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 1 through 2:00 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 2; however, drivers should not park in marked residential parking spaces.

Municipal parking in the Dickson Street Entertainment District, including the new Spring Street Parking Deck, is free before 2 p.m. daily and uses a pay-by-space system from 2 p.m. to 2 a.m.
