Philadelphia’s Dr. Dog is coming back to Fayetteville this spring.

The band, who stopped in town pretty regularly in the late 2000s/early 2010s, today announced they’ll perform at George’s Majestic on Monday, April 4 with Austin indie-pop band Wild Child.

Tickets are $22, on sale at 10 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 8 at George’s ticketing site.

The band today also announced the upcoming (Feb. 5) release of their new/old album, Psychedelic Swamp. The album was originally recorded and released on cassette nearly 15 years ago, and the band has re-recorded and re-imagined the record.

A song from the album, titled Badvertise (embedded below), was released a few months ago.

A second song, titled Bring My Baby Back,” was released today over at Vulture.com.

Here’s how bass player and co-lead singer Toby Leaman describes the new track:

This song is filled with things that nobody knew what to do with but just didn’t have the heart to throw away. It’s like climbing out from the bottom of a junk drawer three stories deep, a veritable ascent into maelstrom.
